Gently boil 1-8oz block of tempeh for five minutes to scale back bitterness. Rinse beneath chilly water. Use your fingers to crumble it into mince-like items. Sauté 1 small onion in somewhat olive oil or veggie broth.

Add to the tempeh crumbles. Crumble 2 slices of gluten-free (or common if not gf) bread into small chunks and add to l the tempeh crumbles. (I used complete grain bread however most will work.) Add 3/four tsp smoked paprika, 3/four tsp chili powder, 3/four tsp chipotle, 3/four tsp garlic powder, 1-1/2 tbsp dietary yeast, 1 tbsp gluten-free tamari or soy sauce, and a pair of tsp olive oil. Use fingers to include spices into tempeh crumbles.

Add 2 tbsp flour (I used complete wheat however all-purpose or gluten-free mix will work). Add salt to style. Type into about 5-6 burgers, about 1/2-3/four inch thick. Both: bake on lined-sheet at 375F till golden brown, flipping midway (about 20 minutes). Or: cook dinner in somewhat oil in non-stick fry pan. Serve with veggies of your alternative!
